Abraham Hostel Tel Aviv

Abraham Hostel Tel Aviv

In our trips we had the opportunity to stay at different hostels. Some were better than others. We stayed in amazing places in Zagreb or Nurnberg but also in nightmare locations in Prague. For the people who travel a lot, these places are to be considered. There are not only rooms with 4/6/8 beds but also rooms for two people with all the comfort of a hotel for half price of what one would actually pay at a hotel. Also most of the hostels are in the center of the city, which is a huge advantage.

Hostels are different. Some only give you a place to sleep, have breakfast and perhaps a bar, while others are full of opportunities. With large terraces, bars, countless activities. In our opinion, hostels are the places where you truly feel like a traveler. The relations between the guests are more warm and closer than the ones at a classic hotel. Most of the guests are young and open-minded. Even the staff is different. They come from all around the world, and socialize with you while working.

Tel Aviv is in top 10 most expensive cities in the world.

The price paid for the stay at Abrahams Hostel is considerably small compared to the one paid at a normal hotel. If you choose a bedroom with four beds you pay around 30 euros a night. We have to admit this is great. The money saved can be spent on more interesting things such as trips. You can choose an economy room also for two people at a decent price for Tel Aviv.

We gave you a good reason. The price. But it is not only about the price. Abrahams Hostel is in the city center next to Rothschild boulevard Allenby street. These are probably the most important places in Tel Aviv. An area full of cafes, restaurants and different types of shops.

Distance to important tourist attractions

  • 15 mins walk to the beach
  • 15 mins walk to the shopping mall
  • 10 mins walk to the Sinagoga Sea of Tel Aviv
  • 15 mins walk to Carmel Market
  • 15 mins bus ride to Jaffa Old City
  • 15 mins bus ride to Old Port in Tel Aviv

Abraham Hostel is part of a hostel chain

There are other Abraham Hostels outside of Tel Aviv in Jerusalem and Nazareth. The one in Tel Aviv has 4 levels and looks wonderful.  A specific energy of youth is present here. Many young people smoking, on the internet in the lobby, looking for trips or just resting.

The breakfast is included in the price of the room and a wonderful thing is the coffee or the tea, always available in the restaurant during the day.

The 350 spots are divided in common bedrooms of 4/6/10 or 12 beds, 2-person economy rooms, superior rooms, suite and family accommodation. So for any type of person. The difference between our economy room and a normal hotel room was the lack of TV. With all honesty I can say I did not miss it! Besides that, the conditions were the same: fridge, wardrobe, personal bathroom with a shower, towels, air conditioning, double bed and pretty much what can be found in any hotel.

What can you do in the hostel?

A lot! From rooms with TVs where shelves are full of board games (while the TV is mostly turned off as no one is using it) to the terrace on level 3 almost always full. From the lounge where everything is set for you to relax in a different setting to the bar where you can have some beer or coffee. There are places where you can interact with the other guests of the location and only who has stayed in a hostel knows the atmosphere is this relaxing.

Facilities at Abraham Hostel

  • Kitchen with everything available for you to cook
  • Free wi-fi everywhere in the hostel (great speed!)
  • Laundry
  • Computers in the lobby
  • Information center and tourist office Israel
  • Luggage room
  • TV room
  • Bar
  • Outside terrace
  • Breakfast
  • Non-stop reception
  • Outside smoking area – the location does not allow smoking inside

I was telling you Abraham Hostels is different and I will give you two reasons. One of them is the graffiti on the stairs and on the exterior wall while the other reason is the painting and artwork exposition on two floors. The artwork can be bought by anyone.

Another advantage of the hostel are the daily events in the hostel. Here are some:

  • Yoga exercises every day
  • Club-hopping every night – Tel Aviv is famous for its clubs
  • Indian Dinners
  • Shabbat Dinners
  • Art Evenings and Wine Tastings
  • Parties with DJs from Israel

Tel Aviv probably has the most beautiful beach around, a seafront similar with the one in Miami, an upbeat nightlife, many amazing restaurants, friendly young people from all over the world and it is like a hub for any destination you want to visit in Israel. If until now you didn’t take it into consideration even for a city break, it is time you do it. Israel is much more than the Holy Places.  It also has this city that is full of life and not similar with other cities in Western Europe. It is like a  modern Western metropolis.
