The journey time to the upper station is 10 minutes, and it takes 6.5 minutes to reach the Sorebois intermediate station. The lift will go into operation in winter 2020/21 and will connect Grimentz and Zinal stations with the new gondola and cable car for pedestrians.

“GAIA” is a wooden cube construction located 1,800 metres above sea level, near Capanna Gorda in the Blenio Valley. Its roof is made entirely from glass, as are three of its walls. The structure has heating and air conditioning, making it a unique and comfortable place to sleep in summer and winter alike. The location is internationally known among astronomy associations for the outstanding conditions it offers for anyone who enjoys stargazing.
