Ernest Airlines Announces NewConnections From Italy to Romania

Ernest Airlines announces the imminent opening of new direct flights between: Bucharest – Verona, Bucharest.
The press conference organized by Ernest Airlines, in cooperation with Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport announcing the opening of direct flights between Bucharest– Verona, Bucharest – Genova, has just concluded. Starting from June 21st 2018 the flights will be operated with a modern 180-seat Airbus A320.

“With these new routes, we begin a new and important chapter in the history of Ernest” – says Business Development Director, Chady El Tannir – “The goal of Ernest Airlines, today the only Italian airline present in Romania, is to expand the air transport service between Italy and countries that have a great migratory flow towards Italy.”

Mr. El Tannir further expanded, “We started by offering direct connections from Italy with Albania and shortly after we opened flights between Italy and Ukraine. The opening of flights to Romania is a fundamental step for our company to consolidate our offer dedicated to ethnic traffic. Moreover, Italy is preferred by Romanians that choose to live and to work abroad. On the other hand, Romania is becoming very important for more and more Italians that have opened their business in Romania. Entry into the market has been carefully considered with the goal of offering connections between pertinent Italian cities, in which there is a considerable presence of Romanian origins.
We aim to build a solid foundation in underserved markets and make flights between Romania and Italy more accessible, not only by price, but also by the convenience of our well-planned timetables.”

The new Bucharest – Verona flight, is an important connection, required by tens of thousands of Romanians living in Italy and for the many Italian and Romanian travelers who need to transit for business and tourism. Flights between Bucharest and Verona were served from the 90s until last year last year.
Ernest Airlines is responding to the high market demand by restoring this important piece in the Italian –
Romanian network.
Bucharest – Genoa is another new connection, not previously served, where the market demand is high,
not only for multitude of Rumanians residing in the province of Genoa and in all the south-east of France but also thanks to the demand generated by the Ligurian tourist attractions, together with the Mediterranean Sea and the cruises leaving from Genoa every week.
Even the Italian institutions present in the Romanian territory have welcomed Ernest Airlines with open arms and Adrian Dimache – Secretary General of the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Romania affirmed: “The Italian Chamber of Commerce for Romania very much welcomes the entry of an Italian airline on the Italy-Romania routes. The connections between Bucharest with Verona and Bucharest with Genoa reflect the needs of the many entrepreneurs who travel weekly between these three cities, that until now, had no direct and frequent alternative connections.
